Okay I have WOW installed on my laptop and I used to be able to play with no problems on my desktop WOW over the network.

I click on the launcher (going into my laptop under network places) and click it to run wow but its not working, I get no error messages, no popups from Vista about security, I just get the spinning circle hour glass thing for 2 seconds and nothing happens.

Try reinstalling it, or maybe you need a patch or the like from Blizzard.

How's Vista working out by the way, is it as much of a memory hogging, OSX facsimile, train-wreck as I've been hearing?

Blayne, you are not the first person to have problems playing WoW over a Wireless Lan connection...people were talking about it a while ago, over Blizzard forums.

Dante = yes. Memory hogging all the way. It's what drove me over the edge and start using Linux (my recently bought Notebook came with it installed and I was appalled by Vista's sheer memory-eating features.

Vista is like a dream come true, well once I had 2 GB of ram rather then just 1, but my machine is fairly decent just needs and upgrade come inheritence time.

Thing is WoW is fully patched and playing it over the network either via lan or wireless used to work 100% just fine I do not know what changed machinewise, maybe its my routers sicne i switched them around (disabling/reenabling dhcp accordingly)

I'll never understand the memory hogging. Vista, with Aero and ALL the frills enabled, takes less memory on my machine than XP did with half the services disabled.
