This may seem like a silly request, but Bert went through his last heartworms treatment...it was two treatments actually. One was yesterday, and the other was today. He had to stay overnight at the shelter. I finally picked him up, and they had to shave two spots on his back on either side of his spine. You can tell that he's in pain. I accidentally petted his back, and it hurt him. He doesn't seem to have much energy...I gave him some chicken noodle soup because I thought it might be easier for him to eat than dry food.

Please send happy thoughts for him to recover quickly! I hate seeing him all sad.

Oh. And here are some pictures of him. [Smile] He's a cutie.

He ate my chair.

When I first brought him home.

Being handsome.

I hope he does well, but I'd be careful about anthropomorphizing his diet. I don't know what the the starches and spices in chicken noodle soup will do for a carnivore's digestive system. Not saying that I have any knowledge that it will be bad for him, but he may be better off with the dry food.

I'll definently pray!

He's a cutie. [Smile]

Not that I wouldn't pray if he was ugly...

Awwww ... he's sweet.

I'll keep him in my thoughts.

That's exactly what the Jack Russell I petsat for had, two shaved spots that hurt.

I don't think a bit of chicken noodle soup will hurt, certainly doesn't have more starches than normal dry dogfood.

Good luck.

Bert decided my towel made a nice blanket when he got home today.

He's just been lying on the floor next to my bed this whole time. Poor baby.
