This is the most excited I've seen anyone over a giant internal parasite since my aunt lost all that weight from a tape worm.

Congratulations!

Posted by quidscribis (Member # 5124) on :

Um, dantes, it's not a giant parasite yet. At this stage, it's still very very small. [Smile]

Congrats, ketchups! (I was thinking that this was what the thread was going to be about before I opened it. [Big Grin] Hah! I'm psychic!)

I totally read this as "farm." I was like, "Man, I know we're a fast-growing family but we only have 2 cats and live in the city. Are we really a farm?"

Then I re-read. [Wink]

How do people get pregnant out of an Ahem and smiley face?
Congrats! When does the little one grace the world with its presence?

Posted by El JT de Spang (Member # 7742) on :

Because the smiley face is much more than meets the eye.

Yes, it's hard to see the little tail in the background.

How far along are you?!

Can you confirm that Rivka and I are the last hatrackers to see you in an unpregnant state?

edit: oh and my sincerest congratulations!

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

Certainly not. KPC saw her after we did. [Wink]

Bleh! Fine!
You know pretty vases have been linked to this sort of thing. I have no idea what Chinese dishes do however. [Big Grin]

Posted by Katarain (Member # 6659) on :

Congratulations, KQ. [Smile] I'm very happy for you.

Posted by rivka (Member # 4859) on :

Apparently, they hide in plain sight. Two of my three kids couldn't pick out the new item on my display shelves -- and it's the tallest thing on them! [Big Grin]

Posted by anti_maven (Member # 9789) on :

Ooh, ooh, I found the link.

KQ, that's so sneaky. I love it!

Should I send a suitable neon sign? Do you have alot of Chinese memorabilia on your display shelves?

Posted by erosomniac (Member # 6834) on :

Y'know, I saw the thread title, saw who posted it, and immediately thought: "kqueen's pregnant again."

Congrats!

A big congratulations to the Ketchups!

That's the funny thing. It is quite different from anything else on the shelves -- although it is not the only piece which is unique.

A couple of weeks, rivka's right, that would definitely be KPC, with Ketchup Princess right before him, and thank you. [Smile]

I will assume that the pretty vase may or may not have had something to do with it, so I will have to keep it safe. [Wink]

*snort* Took you long enough. How many threads have been posted with smileys as links? It's, like, a Hatrack tradition.

(But you know I'm just teasing you and I love you anyway. [Kiss] <--- not a link [Razz] )

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

Thanks for the congratulations everyone, we're very excited. [Smile]

That's wonderful! I'm so happy for you! Your family is adorable, btw. That picture on your blog just makes me grin. [Smile]

Posted by BlackBlade (Member # 8376) on :

KQ: OK OK! Barring family members, does that make me and Rivka the last ones? ;P

Rivka: I guess I have no choice but to make sure the next time I make a trip to LA, to present a gift that is impossible to miss when placed in your home. You can decide if that's a bad or good thing. [Big Grin]

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

Yes, you and Rivka were the last non-family members to see me un-pregnant. Third to last was Boon. [Smile]

Mustard?

Oh goody, a new ketchup packet!

Congrats!

Posted by Primal Curve (Member # 3587) on :

If it's a boy, it should be "His Lordship Duke VonHeinz" or something.

Thanks, all. [Smile]

We haven't discussed screen names yet, we're still arguing over middle names. (We already know if it's a girl it will be Margaret, called Maggie, and if it's a boy it will be James, called Jimmy, but we're debating on middle names-- I know what I want but Jeff is not quite agreed.) I think we'll refer to him/her as "the ketchup packet" until he/she is born, same as last time.

Posted by Uprooted (Member # 8353) on :

Ketchup Princeling!

Posted by Tinros (Member # 8328) on :

How about, "Bridget and Emma's new plaything"?

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

*giggles*

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

(It's funny because Bridey and the new baby will be the same distance apart as Bridey and Emma, but I can't picture Bridget at 2 when the baby is born! She seems so much more... a baby than Emma was when she was this age. Although really my recollection is probably faulty because I had nothing to compare Emma with.)

Posted by breyerchic04 (Member # 6423) on :

What middle names do you want?

Posted by ketchupqueen (Member # 6877) on :

I want Margaret Faith for a girl, James Robert for a boy. Jeff has some hesitations over both middle names. It remains to be seen whether one or both of us will change our minds one way or another. [Smile]
