This tiny roast has been in the crock pot for 3 and a half hours.
How much longer does it have to cook if it's only 1 pound?
The smell of garlic is tormenting me. I also should have put potatoes in that thing.

Is the crockpot on the high setting? If so, the meat should be cooked, although it's possibly not as tender as it could be. At this point you could cut off a piece to eat now, and if you want the meat to be more tender then just put the rest back in the pot to cook for a while. Although, with only a pound of meat, I don't know that it would be worth it. Up to you, really.

It is on low.

Yeah, we usually do 2-4 lb roasts on high for 4 hours or low for 8-10. For 1 lb I'd guess half that.

I usually do 2-4 lb roasts, too. High for maybe 4 hours, max...low for 6-8. Maybe my lower is higher. [Smile]
