My buddy did that video, and now the song is stuck in my head.

I first came across the word "marmoset" in Graves' I, Claudius; I think it was a term of affection that Athenodorus used for Claudius.

The result is that whenever I see or hear the word "marmoset," I have an immediately pavlovian image of I, Claudius, even though I haven't read the book in years.

But Olivet knew all that. Oh, yes, she knew exactly what she was doing.

Sesame Street did a song back in the mid-80's about being a marmoset. My daughter especially liked that one.

These are great! [ROFL]

EDIT - Warning: see next post for details.

Sorry 'bout that...

I don't want to be overly critical of an otherwise cute video, but they got the lyrics all wrong. It's not "Marmoset there'd be days like this..." It's really "Momma said..."

I can see how the mistake was made (it does kinda sound like "Marmoset"), although the creators of this video probably should have looked up the lyrics before going through the effort.

Mine too, Teshi. I didn't like that song to begin with, and it's been burning in my head for two days now!

Oh, and [Laugh] David G
