It's gamelan spam! It has a metallic flavor. Spicy, too, because it's from Indonesia.

haha that's cool.
The chair of the music department here has a (pretty much) complete gamelan in his garage. He brought it in to the concert hall once last year when his daughter (who actually lived in Bali for a while as a gamelan player) came to visit and she taught us how to play some stuff on it. Definitely a cool workshop.

I like the gongs. I like the idea that each gamelan is specifically tuned to go with the other instruments, and can't be transferred to a different gamelan.
Now give me a virtual cello to play, and I'll be happy
