With the strike, you knew this kind of horror had to be coming. I guess we should just be glad that no kids were almost killed on this show.

"Moment of Truth":
NYT
EW

And hey, if you think it sounds like a great idea and would like to try out, go for it. [Razz]

Don't they say addicts only get help and start picking up the pieces once they hit rock bottom?

Because we all know how accurate polygraph tests are...

I was thinking that, EL. I hope someone who is really good at beating polygraph tests lies on all the questions the first time, then gives the opposite answer the next time (or vice versa) and shows as telling the truth each time. That would be awesome.

Oh for the love of...

They need to fix that damned writer's strike. Because too much of this and I'll want to sell my television.

Why do shoes like this get made and shows like Danger Island don't? [Wink]

So you get paid based on how close the audience response is to the polygraph?

I would just warn any mormons who go out for this that polygraphs play havoc with every mormon I've ever heard talk about it. I don't know if it's the lack of alcohol and other stimulants or that we always have something to hide. Probably a combination of both.

Been there, Done that, Never looked back! But, you might consider keeping the machine and hooking it up to a VHS-VCR. Then you have control over what you watch. My kids still thank me. All of them are literate in at least one language.

Just to add to pooka's sample size, two of my sibings had required polygraphs and for my sister, they had a horrible time establishing a baseline and my brother failed the questions on drug use. I have a vague memory of my friend having problems as well, but can't remember the details.

Maybe not. But I was unwise enough to watch the clip on YouTube, which shows the final moments of the last show. <shudder>

Most of it's bad, yes.

But the relaunch of "American Gladiators" can only be awesome. [Big Grin]
