porcelain girl, my mother, and I all went to the live Hi-Def broadcast of the Met Opera's production Hansel and Gretel today. It was quite well done, if a bit pricey.
The last "Fathom Event" I went to was only 12 dollars. This was 22. Eep.
Wonderful production values on the show. The costumes and makeup were suitably grotesque and evocative of the fairy tale's dark nature.
The guy playing the Gingerbread Witch was a hoot to watch.
I may go to another one of these if they pick a show I'm interested in.
