So my computer has gone crazy the past 2 days... -first I noticed that I am sending out outgoing "packets" at a rate of 1 trillion every ten minutes. This stops when I connect to my neighbors wireless instead of my direct connection.
-next, for a few hours whenever I would try to write anything online it was like someone was hitting the back arrow button every 5seconds or so making it virtually impossible to type... fortunately this has stopped.
-Today, whenever I try to load a webpage, I am only successful every 2 or 3 times I try.
-I have run a Virus scan and came up with a few small adware or worms, but these have all now been contained or deleated. -I have also disconnected my router and plugged directly into my modem to see if that made a difference, it didn't change anything. -I do not have any torrent programs running
Does anyone have ANY clue as to what might be going on with my computer and how i might fix it? Thank you for your help. -DAB

I wonder if your neighbor appreciates your connecting to his/her wireless while you have a virus.

For the first and third problems, I would suspect a crappy ISP. For the second problem, I would guess that you're using a crappy laptop. Do I win?
Info that I need to give you more helpful guesses: ISP name, connection type and speed Modem type the setup of your LAN (ethernet?), and the type of router and, of course, the operating system version and web browser version
