I just bought The First Decade this last Thursday. Previous to that, I had only played Red Alert 2 and Generals.
Of course, if you're asking about the original Command & Conquer, I still can't help you there. I'm too hooked on Tiberian Sun to go back further at the moment.
There are very few things in RTS gaming as satisfying as sending a wall of twenty little toy tanks at an enemy base, and watching the debris fly.

I've played all of the games that come on <i>The First Decade</i>, as well as C&C 3.
The original was a classic.
