Yup, it's a princess alright. But where's the frog?

I guess with the unexpected rush of negative online reaction due to supposed "racism" in earlier versions that Disney will take their time releasing anything good on this movie.

Hopefully by the time WALL-E or Bolt is released we'll have something fun and promising rather than just: "Yup. Looks like a 2D animated princess to me!"

Maybe the frog is a ninja.

Much as I'm looking forward to The Princess and the Frog, I think I'm anticipating the long-delayed Rapunzel just as much. I like decision to utilize CGI animation techniques that will give the film the look of Jean-Honoré Fragonard's "The Swing". It sounds like it might help push the CGI animation trend into more interesting directions than seeing how many pores we can put onto Shrek's nose. [Big Grin]

Edit: Oooh. Here's a comparison. Glen Keane looks as if he really is trying to make one of the most beautiful animated features possible.

I'm hoping he's successful.

I was hoping to see some artwork showing the New Orleans flair, but still, I think the character design is very lovely.
