Pretty close to the way Pauline Baynes drew him.

It amuses me to no end that a sizable segment of online Narnia fandom is still obsessed with his change in fur color. Dark brown, dark grey...I'm more concerned that they'll get his personality right. [Smile]

I love it. I don't care much about the fur colour. I love that he looks just like I have always imagined him.

I really hope this one is better than the last one. The graphics were good last time, but the script stunk! I was recently watching the old BBC movies of the Chronicles. What I want to know is why they couldn't have remade those scripts with the new animation and better actors? Those were almost dead on and true to the books.

Speaking as someone who simultaneously reread the books while watching the BBC adaptation: No, it wasn't. The BBC version changed as much as the Walden Media version. It deleted characters, adding lengthy asides and rather awkward attempts to make external things that were internal in the book.

Thus far, the only adaptation I've seen that truly was "dead-on" with the book was the Children's Television Worshop/Bill Melendez Animation Studio adaptation of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe...and even -that- cut out two scenes. [Smile]

Personally, I enjoyed the Walden LWW...though it did have pacing troubles and obvious signs that Adamson was still learning the ropes of directing live actors instead of animators.
