A massive activity for the single adults in three stakes is being held today. A carnival. It sounded fun, so I planned to go with a friend...only to find out that both of us had somehow reversed the "A.M./P.M." distinction in regards to the time the activity occurred.

I'd chalk it up to a silly mix-up, but this is far from unique...I mess up like this so often, I'm starting to wonder if something is really wrong with me.

Besides my not being able to tell time.

Maybe a dayplanner would help? And a cellphone. My cellphone saved my life.

Sorry, though. [Frown] That is really disappointing. I have pulled similar stunts.

Once I went to go meet my friend at the mall exactly 24 hours before I was supposed to.

I've been known to be off by a couple hours before. For example, Instead of meeting a group of people at one like I was supposed to, I went to meet them at 11, two hours early, and didn't realize my mistake until I was already there. It just kinda happens. A day planner would help, or a cellphone, like Porce said. Just find something that works for you and stick with it.

I'm a third shifter, I know what it's like to mix times up... At least a couple times a month, I wake up a couple hours into my sleep (1-2pm) and think I overslept and am 3+ hours late to work (in at 10 or 11pm). Especially on cloudy days when even the little bit of daylight that creeps into my window is cut off. I even called my work one time in a panic:
"Bill? I overslept, I'll be right in! I'm so sorry!"
"Chris? Schedule here says you're not in for another 7 hours."
"..."

I just get people to remind me. Most of my friends and family know that I am useless with remembering things, so they help me out all the time. I'm sure eventually I'll have to find some sort of system.

I almost showed up at a birthday party yesterday that will actually be held next week. Luckily I mentioned it to a friend who called yesterday and told me, "umm, that's on March 1st."

I missed a show I was in once because I thought it was a day later than it was. Don't feel bad. (Granted, I was young, but still.)

I've sat through a three hour commute to go to work... only to realize when I got there it was Sunday.

At least I slept fairly well on the trip.

It's pretty rare that the hour of an event doesn't give the A.M./P.M. away.

But try me, what was the hour associated with this carnival? 7 is clearly not an A.M. and 9 is clearly not a P.M. I might let you off with 8 as understandable.
