Includes a glimpse of EVE, another important character in the movie.

Boy, Disney sure is putting a lot more energy into promoting this than they did Ratatouille. I guess a cute li'l robot is innately an easier sell than a rat in the kitchen? [Wink]

This movie looks so cute and funny. I really can't wait to see it. I hope it brings back the quality of animated movies that Disney and Pixar once made together.

To be honest Puffy Treat, a li'l cute robot is easier to sell to ME than a rat in a kitchen. I don't care at all to see Ratatouille, but Wall-E is turning into a must see.

I wish the robot was real. I want one as a pet.

After just seeing the trailer I melted into a puddle of over-cuted goo. I can only imagine what an entire movie of that ultra-concentrated cuteness will do to me.

I'm sorry, but where do you see another character?

(P.S. Ratatouille is SO charming, and I highly recommend that everyone see it. It feels more like an older animated movie than the new ones, that are just full of one-liners. It's adorable.)

Look up in the sky above the "W" in Wall-E

Ohhhh. Thanks. [Smile]

Wall-E should seem like an older movie also, because apparently, it was written before Toy Story was. And they were going to produce it around 2001 but decided Monsters Inc was better.

The idea for WALL-E was brainstormed after Toy Story was near completion.

It's not so much they thought Monsters Inc. was "better", more WALL-E took longer to develop into a feature-length story.

Ratatouille is one of the best films I saw last year, one I can watch over and over again.

It's worth it -just- for Peter O'Toole's performance as Anton Ego...but the rest of it's also delightful. [Cool]

Oh my bad. I was going off of the production part of this.

Then again I can't believe everything I read on the Internet.

Edit - I didn't mean to say that they thought Monsters Inc was better even though I did in fact say that. It was a poor choice of words on my part.

See, what Stanton says in the AICN interview is that he thought up the core idea for WALL-E before Toy Story was finished.

Wikipedia (as is quite usual for a place anyone can edit) distorted that. [Smile]

Once again, Puffy Treat, we are of the same mind. [Smile]

I'll also note that the times I've been a movie theater and the Wall-E trailer was played resulted in a tremendously positive audience reaction. Adults would laugh and ask each other when the film was coming out, kids would go nuts with excitement.

Get the feeling this might even do better box office than Finding Nemo did.
