Ok, I have been searching, basically all day long, for two written sources, and an audio and/or video source that are all more or less associated about which to write an essay for my spanish class. As it is for my spanish class the sources should be in spanish.

In my searching I came upon this and this and then naively thought I'd be able to find a video about the same general topic as well. This video was nowhere to be found, and I ask the good people of Hatrack if any of you have seen a video, in spanish, about raising kids or kids daycare, or working from home. Anything like that. If you could help me find a video like this I'd be so grateful. Alternatively, if you could suggest a video that has written articles about the same general thing, that would be appreciated also.

Thanks in advanced, and sorry to ask, but... it's been too many hours for such a seemingly easy task.

PBS in the L.A. area does a community education show for parents, daycare providers, and caregivers in both English and Spanish. Lemme see if I can find a website for them in Spanish.

Here you go.

Don't know if that's any help at all.

Here's the website for El Diario de La Prensa, the country's largest Spanish-language newspaper. Here is the website for Hoy, the second-largest. "Guarderia" is the Spanish term I've heard most often for "daycare" or "childcare center" if you are searching for information on that.

Yeah, I was trying to describe what I was looking for to my parents and could barely think of an english equivalent for guarderia. Hm... I've been browsing the first site you suggested for videos. I'll try those other sites. Thanks for your quick, and continuing, and good help.

It looks to me like V Me's website (that's the Spanish-language PBS cable station in L.A.) has video from Los Niņos en Su Casa (the show linked above) on their website.

(I haven't watched it, though, so I don't know if it's just promos or what.)

(What's funny is I'm always turning that show off-- it comes on after my daughter's favorite PBS shows-- but now I'm looking for it. I dunno, want me to record it to DVD and e-mail it to you tomorrow? If I can find a blank DVD, that is?)

No. That's fine. I think I'm just going to start from a video and look for written articles that are along the same lines... If you do find a video that is about kids vs. work and daycare and stuff I'd like that.. but as of now I'm going to just try a different tact.

I wish I could be more help! I checked all my usual video sources and I'm not finding anything.

Yeah. I figured that SOMEWHERE on the internet I'd be able to find 1 video that was about kids and working parents and daycares etc. but here I am, many hours of searching later... without one. Bleh. Annoying.

Ok, I've changed topics to the new law in Mexico City against smoking in closed buildings like restaurants, bars, whatever else. If you're interested here are the pertinent/interesting articles, sites that I'm using: http://www.milenio.com/mexico/milenio/notaanterior.asp?id=890020

Thanks for the effort KQ, I was sooo happy when I saw somebody was at least trying, because I'd gotten quite discouraged.. Anyways. All is well now in the world of Spanish Essay Topics
