...at least according to animation historian and commentator Jerry Beck, on his blog.

I think the only stronger positive statement he could make is "Better than Miyazaki!" [Big Grin]

Seriously though, Jerry's been negative and derogatory towards much of Dreamworks' recent funny animal oriented output. I had thought it was probably funnier than the trailers made it out to be, but I didn't expect comparisons to a Brad Bird masterpiece.

Now I kinda -have- to see it, come June.

It doesn't look like it will be very good, but at least it's not Shrek 4.

Shrek Goes Fourth is coming out in 2010 or 2011. [Razz]

What comes after that? Shrek drinks a Fifth?

My own hope: The Death of Shrek.

What comes next is the Shrek/Austin Powers crossover--Mike Meyers Breaks The Mint.

I will be very very surprised if Kung Fu Panda has near the depth, intellgence, and drama of The Incredibles. The fact that he even dared make that comparison intrigues me though, and I did think it looked pretty funny from the trailers.

As intrigued as I am by the title, the one trailer I've seen didn't look funny at all

I wanted to see it when I saw the trailer.

It looks funny (to me), but I doubt it's in quite the same league as Brad Bird's movies.

Son of Shrek.

The trailer is cute, but it makes the movie look stupid. Now that it's somehow up there with the Incredibles, I'm not sure WHAT to do.
