The wild part is looking at recent videos of Arik Einstein. Gives you an idea of what Nathan Fillion might look like in a few decades.

Meh. Facial structure is all wrong -- look at the chin and forehead. They both have (had) dark tousled hair and an intense dark stare. And high cheekbones. (They could both have been Vulcans.) *shrug*
You know, I've heard lots of Arik Einstein, but I'm not sure I had any idea what he looked like.

I love Arik Einstein. I grew up listening to/watching him!
I'm not sure I see the resemblance as much as you do. Yeah, similar, but not uncanny.

It's that one particular video, facing the camera directly, where the resemblance is strong, particularly the nose. Others with different angles--not so much.
