(Before anyone asks, yes, I've been to the doctor.)

My left foot has been sore and swollen since Friday, possibly due to a sprain or tendonitis...it's doing much better now, but I've been given restrictions for a week or so on any physical activities.

Anyone have good advice on how to help the healing along?

Find a spouse to massage it.

You're a tad young for me. Also, how can I count on you to be a good provider, what with that sore foot and all?

Ice if it's swollen; heat if it's not. No more than an hour applying either before taking a break. Keep it elevated.

Some easy stretching won't kill you. Don't do anything painful. Tendonitis sucks. [Smile]

I'm a big fan of the epsom salt soak. I was told tepid water for in-grown toe nails and as hot as I could stand for an infection. I'd go halfway between for the sprain and go with a nice, warm soak.

Won't a warm soak just make swelling worse?

The bag only says not to if you have diabetes unless you doctor oks it. [Dont Know]
