My fiancee and I will be visiting Tampa Memorial Day weekend for a few days. Could anyone give any recommendations for things to do as day trips.
She has just finished her classes for grad school and is taking a break before her fieldwork starts.
Any ideas?

Do you like to gamble? There are a few places to do that in Tampa. There is also Bush Gardens, which is pretty cool I hear.
I know Joe knows a bit about that area, more so than I do.

Busch Gardens is a lot of fun...I have been there many times. They have awesome rides, and it is fun to see the animals as well. At night time there are a lot of clubs and such...channel side is a lot of fun, since there are so many choices there.

We're going to Universal Orlando on one of the three days - but we're looking for things to do on the other two days.
It's kind of far from the Everglades, or Miami/Ft Lauderdale, etc. Are there any non-theme park things?
