I went to a Lan party starting saturday afternoon, things got to a flying start with everyone spending possibly 3-4 hours setting up the various computers and installing copies of Supreme Commander on all of them.

The girl whose here has prety much either played Portal of Worlf of Warcraft while everyone else switches (including me) back and forth from Supreme Commander, Warcraft 3, and on day 3 FEAR: Combat.

I also spent the time between games reading all of Artemis Fowl.

Sunday night we had a bar be q I had the misfortune of ruining my friends screen door when I walked into it not once but twice as I had difficulty seeing it in the dark.

Doom.

More to come, I think We'll be playing some more Warcraft 3 once everyone is back and then we'll move on to Call of Duty 4.

Oh and on day 4 or 5 we'll be doing some major DnD and movie watching.

What about the starcraft???!!!???!?!?!?
No starcraft means no life. Gangstas play starcraft!

You should totally get everybody together and fix the screen door. It's easier than it looks and involves the use of either a bizarrely specialized tool or a dull pizza cutter.

we'll get to that eventually.

In other news I had to go home for a night as they required my help setting up for a stret fair highly annoying but now I'm back. We watched Appleseed on the big screen tv (42" plasma hdmi) and will be playing CoD4.

Not sure if I'ld do this ever again though, I'm getting really pissed off at how crappily I'm being treated.

I would be genuinely astonished if that were the case.

Perhaps it isn't the party that is the problem.....or the door.

It might be the people you chose to "party" with.

What are they saying/doing, Blayne?

there is a certain degree of very annoying desrespect, the biggest example is not being allowed to get onto the internet when I got back on a `whim` for no reason when everyone else could. The constant yelling is also getting to me.

Starcraft would help, no yelling when you're all attacking australia's defences in RISK v.2

Is there are new Artemis Fowl book out Blayne? I think I've read four, but I haven't kept up on new ones.

And I know how you feel with the whole disrespect thing. Granted, I've never spent that much time gaming (maybe at some point a full day, but no more than that), but too many people playing high-stress games is almost inevitably going to equal annoyance on some level.

If it's 2nd edition, then I might be willing to make an appearance.

we're playing 3.5

Hm, alright. If you don't mind me showing up today, then I would go. You're in DDO, right?

Technically the lan party ended today, we managed to get one introductory session of DnD.

We had:

Gareth the Ranger Gnoll (with half elf as enemy)
Raenir the Half-Drow Wizard (oblivious to the gnolls chosen ax to grind)
Warforged fighter
a insane dromite fighter with a floating psi crystal as a companion, the dromite was named Gregarious Rex the seventh.

Theoretically future sessions will have I think 2 others who could make it for the first session. My minitatures came in handy.

For future reference half drow suck compared to full drow.

So while I think it would've been great to have had some more DnD and meet a fellow hatracker I think my friend realized how much work hosting such a get together was and how much it was gonna cost powerwise [Smile]

But tomorrow I make the final official move to my new place in Dollard (the lan party was near pierrefonds, st jeans to be exact) and if you want to come over you can, ill see who I can scrounge for a campaign.

Sure, just gimme the address, time, LA, etc. so I can make a char.

Wait, what kind of D&D session is over by 5 PM? They're supposed to last until 3 in the morning.

well the going consensus was to have a session to introduce the characters, then we took a icecream break and ended p playing Smash Bros Brawl once some other friends came over.
