I use Firefox 2.0, Mac OSX 4.11, and for the longest time, as long as I can remember, certain flash videos don't work well. Youtube works fine, but other flash videos, for instance those from TV network websites, like The Daily Show, are slow and choppy. I've updated flash and everything, and no change.

I use another application called TubeTV, which is made to allow you to download flash videos, and the videos display at a reasonable speed on that application.

If anyone knows a quick fix for this issue, I'd love to hear it. I have pretty much the same issue in Safari as well, so I have no idea what the problem might be.

Do you have the most recent Flash player?

Yes, updating makes no difference.

Try checking the Firefox add-on page. Or use a different browser. [Wink]

I use Firefox 2.0 and Mac OSX 4.11 also, and I have the same problem. I don't worry about it, however, because my computer is an Imac DV+ 450, and I don't expect anyone to optimize video for a computer this old.

Buy a PC....BAAAAAAHAHAH! Revenge!

I knew that was coming.

Of course, if I HAD a PC, it would be on fire right now, and the video would be the least of my worries.

And you might still have Firefox video issues with a PC (leaving aside the whole arson issue). Lots of proprietary video software makers don't like to make their stuff play nice with Firefox, because it's open source, and therefore too easy to tweak (and download their safe-from-downloading videos).

One of the things I keep IE on this machine for is to be able to watch Netflix streaming movies and ABC.com tv shows.
