I installed Vista first, then Ubuntu, and it loads straight to Vista, I was wondering if there's a way so it gives me a choice without rapid button mashing during the booting up?

Have you tried Googling the words "Vista Ubuntu bootloader"?

most ive found assume Ubuntu isn't installed yet. Also I'm not sure how to even boot into Ubuntu period as it goes straight to Vista.

Try EasyBCD.
It'd be easiest to stick with Wubi , it's the least screw-uppable way to fly.

You did not install GRUB, which is the last step.

All you gotta do is drop your computer out the window. If it turns on when you bring it up you will be able to play crisis on ultimate graphics!

I currently Dual Boot XP and Ubuntu. GRUB is really easy once you get it set up.

Yeah, though you can do it either direction: GRUB pointing at Vista boot loader, or Vista boot loader pointing at GRUB.
