I am in pretty severe pain right now, like hard to move around kind of pain, it appears to be located opposite side of my appendix. The pain is at the lower left of my body, above my left hip and below my stomach. Its been bugging me for about a day and a night now, tomorrow if its not gone I'll visit the pharmacy, my problem though is I don't have my medicare card (got stolen) so I don't think they'll see me unless its life threatening.

I am thinking you should call about getting that replaced, then. Will they accept an alternate form of ID? Oh, and shouldn't you be seeing a doctor, not a pharmacy, if it persists?

It's most likely intestinal and will clear up in a few days, from the sound of it. Have you had a virus lately? Has anyone around you? Lying on your left side, curled in a semi-fetal position, can sometimes provide some pain relief from that.

I generally sleep in the recovery position. Well there's no doctor nearby that I know of.

Yeah.

When did you lose your card? Apparently if you lose your card you need to contact the health ministry in your province to replace it.

They could also probably help you find a doctor.

Alternatively, you could look in the phone book.

Just so you know I had my appendix taken out after going to the emergency room for weird abdominal pain resulting from an unrelated condition. But while they were poking around in surgery, they noticed my appendix and removed it. The doctor told me in a follow-up that it was covered in scar tissue from multiple bouts of appendicitis that had gone completely unnoticed by me.

Go to a doctor!!!

Meh. I've had bad abdominal pain a few times. I wait it out unless it gets worse.

It seems to have gotten better, still hurts and probably won't be running today but at this rate it shouldn't interfear with going to school tomorrow. And then I can see the local doctor.

My guess is that you've got a gas bubble associated with a cramp in your large intestine. Try lying on your back, relax, and have someone massage the area that's painful. They should push deeply into the abdomen on the left side. Listen and feel for movement. Once you feel the bubble move, the pain will subside shortly.

Of course, if this doesn't help and the problem still doesn't clear up, see a doctor.
