I don't mind you asking BlackBlade, I just have too much going on my life. Something has changed, I don't quite know how to explain it, but I used to look forward to coming online and reading all the new threads. Maybe the change is me and not the forum. I don't know, but I find myself not really enjoying it anymore, no offense intended to anyone here.
I'm spending too much time on the computer, I've been slipping down the anti-social slope for quite a while now. I think it happened after my fiancee passed. My whole social life revolved around her, we had the same friends, and I moved away. Hatrack used to be a place I would stop in occasionally, not check every day. I need to get away from my computer for a while. It's not really Hatrack, it's me.

Just so everyone knows, I hold you all in the highest regard and wish you all the best. I should have provided a little more explanation, but I would hate to think some of you thinking I was hunting for attention as we've all seen in the past. Simply put, you all have had a profound impact on my life, and I hope you all enjoy your lives. [Smile]

See you later, man. We have all taken a break from time to time. I know I hae done it a few times, and once I start school I probably will taper off quite a bit again.

The best thing about Hatrack is that it will be here regardless of how often you stop in. Some of the players/posters will change, but the place is here independent of any single poster.

So I hope to see you whenever it is better for you to post again. [Smile]

If I remember correctly, the last time he did much in the way of posting on this side was during the whole blowup during the launch of IGMS. I suppose that might have turned him off of it a little.

Yep, I have too. Actually, if Sept. 11th hadn't happened I probably wouldn't have come back. I'd been gone long enough when it happened that I didn't feel any impulse to come here on a daily basis. When the planes struck, though, I came back to make sure that the New Yorkers here were okay. I've come and gone since then, but that's the only time that I've thought that I was gone for good.

There are clever people talking about things I care about which I can peruse at my convenience. I don't see any reason to ever completely leave.

There are periods when Hatrack and other places on the intarwebs get me feeling really down. I can't figure out why I'm down, and then I realize it's the fora and nothing else. That's usually when I decide to take a break and rock the IRL for a while.

Yeah... Hatrack in particular has thrown me into wild depression before. Problem is, instead of running away at those times like I should, I stick around and make it worse.
