For those of you experiencing a sense of loss, there is somewhat good news about the new book, though not the news I wanted to hear. This link takes you to a rather interesting breakdown of how much has to go into publishing a book. I am of the philosophy that she should just hand me any scraps she has and get on with it, but apparently publishers want this nice finished product. Go figure. So, it looks like some time next fall.

The thing is, we read that onel then the pain starts all over again.

[Smile] I knew this was written by you from the title alone.

I'm rereading the series to study her writing style.

Yay! [The Wave]

I haven't read the new Lord John books yet, so that'll help tide me over 'til then...

Sarah, are you ready to describe her writing style?
Plaid, I found the Lord John book kind of boring. I think I read it too close to the series, and spent most of the book being mad that Jamie wasn't in it.

I loved her description of all the steps a book gopes through to get published . . . phew!

I find her to be a detailed and descriptive, wry and witty, fascinating author.

Or maybe that's Jamie I find fascinating.

*grin*

I have gotten re-engrossed in the storyline, but once I get objective again, I'll give it a whirl. [Smile]
