Seven extra dollars to spend and a ride to the theater.

A DVD release. It didn't come here very long, and I lack a car. [Frown]

Oh, don't worry, I watched it.

It was fantastic, even the classic and confusingly random Bollywood credit sequence.

I LOVED the Bollywood credits! Especially since the actors were so NOT dancers.

Great movie. Cool story and wonderfully done!

It's cleaning house at the Golden Globes, isn't it?

Yeah, my wife saw it and I was like "Ohhh, I wanted to see that since 2 days ago, it was on Hatrack and sounded fascinating. " [Big Grin]

I've been wanting to see it ever since I read about it. It sounds like a really good movie.

Yeah, I heard about it the first time here. [Big Grin] I will see it if possible....if not, I'll probably rent it.

It's good. My only complaint is that they dragged out certain parts.

94% on Rotten Tomatoes?

Saw it yesterday. Excellent!

Yeah, an RT rating that high is rare for anything that's not G rated. Not knowing anything about the movie, but knowing it was rated that high, I was surprised that it had the degree of violence and adult situations in it that it did.

Good movie though.

Am I the only one that thought that the game show host looked like an older Willy Chirino?

It was good but I do think it is a bit overrated. Probably because it is such a heartwarming film.

While I really enjoyed it, I agree that it's getting perhaps a bit more press than it deserves. However, I've had a lot of difficulty coming up with another movie that deserved the awards that Slumdog received. (Of course, I haven't watched a lot of movies this year...) Certainly, I think the best soundtrack award was well-deserved.

I think Let The Right One In was a better film, but you're right, Slumdog is one of the better films in a while.

EDIT: The Wrestler was also a great film.
