I must admit, the first times I watched the films I spent quite a lot of time waiting for Obi 2 to show up. I mean, if there was an Obi 1, there had to be a 2, right? Otherwise he'd just have been plain old Obi.

You know, it's pretty amazing that Star Wars has penetrated our culture to the point where someone who has never seen it can come that close. Her timeline's messed up, sure, and there's a few unneccesary deaths, but not bad for someone who's never seen it.

I'd like to point out, as has been done many a time, that that quotation "Luke, I am your father" does not exist, however it does capture the essence of the scene.

It's ripped out of context, and the punctuation is changed a bit, but the words do appear in that order. That has to count for something.

I believe the line is "No! I am your father!"

The line before was Luke saying something like "He told me enough! He told me you killed him!" For some reason I remember Vader putting the emphasis on the word "I" as in "*I* am your father, NOT him." To be perfectly clear, the emphasis might have been placed on "am", but the sentence technically makes sense either way.

Kind of sad that I didn't have to look it up...

but less sad if I got some of it wrong, I think.
