Hatrack is one of my favorite places to find lists and recommendations. Obviously you people are best at books and films and food (hey, the forum name makes sense now!), but why not comics?

That is, comedians.

I like to laugh. I have a feeling you all do too. So who are your favorite comedians and comics? Share them, so we all can get a little laugh.

Here are three of my personal favorites:
(Links may be NSFW)

The first is Tim Minchin. He's an Australian songwriter, musician, singer and comedian. The amazing thing is that his songs are always so well written and performed that his lyrics will tend to catch you off guard. Do yourself a favor and check out his song "Not Perfect".

Next is just a normal, silly stand-up. A fellow called Brian Regan. He may not be everyone's cup of tea, but give him a try.

And finally, there's Jimmy Pardo. He's a stand-up, but he also does a podcast called Never Not Funny and hosts live game shows at the UCB Theater in Los Angeles. No one makes me laugh as much as him. So, I'm going to send you to a video of his version of You Bet Your Life, the game show where they interview/insult the contestants more than play the actual game.

If you don't like insult comics, please give him a chance anyway. Giving him that title is a great disservice, but there's no way to say what Jimmy Pardo is without just showing you.

So...now it's your turn. Share!

One of my favorite routines is from Eddie Izzard. It is his Dressed to Kill Concert. Here is a clip.

Warning...lots of swearing.

I just happened to watch Comedy Centrals Comedy Showdown and the #1 guy before even Jeff Dunham was a dude named Kyle Cease. He reminds me of Robin Williams in terms of his super high energy and frantic delivery, but oh my gosh I just couldn't stop laughing.

You can't really just watch short clips, you have to watch the whole set because it has some sort of crazy organization that works.

I'll try to find his Comedy Central Presents... set somewhere, because that's my first exposure to him and I can't vouch for anything else.

Swearing is always more classy when done in a British accent, don't you think lem? [Wink]

Mind you, issues 578 and 579 of The Amazing Spiderman did, in fact, rock a few months ago.
