Looks like it's* going to be published in the Warriors anthology he and Gardener Dozois have put together (and the rest of the anthology looks good too; I like that they made an effort to cross genre boundaries with this one).

*"The Mystery Knight" is the third Dunk and Egg novella.

Martin and Rich Berlew should collaborate on a Dunk and Egg and Thog story. You'd be in heaven! [Wink]

But seriously, I loved the first Dunk and Egg story, and liked the second. I wasn't wild about what I heard of the third (Martin read from it for an hour at WorldCon last summer), but I'm hoping that it'll appeal to me more on paper than it did hearing it. I tend to like reading stories more than I do hearing them.

(to bastardize a joke by Mitch Hedberg...)

Me reading this thread title:

Woohoo! George R.R. Martin...

Oh! He's announced that A Dance With Dragons is finished? Could it be?

...Has Found a Vehicle for The Mystery Knight!

SH**!!! I need to read thread titles faster!

Yeah!! [Cool]

Except the link says it probably won't be published until late '10/early '11, waah.

Very good! Hopefully this will be followed by a third graphic novel as well. (as were The Hedge Knight and The Sworn Sword)

I absolutely love the Song of Ice and Fire books, so it's a lot of fun to see one of the stories told in passing in the books fleshed out.
