So that title might be repetitive for some of you. But I was just looking through some liner notes, and I found something that I can't believe I never noticed before.

Here it is: The guy that Geddy Lee got to play guitar on his 2000 solo album is... the same person that, 18 years earlier, played the electric violin part on "Losing It" from Signals.

The fact that "Losing It" is one of my favorite Rush songs, and the addition of electric violin was an inspired choice, gave me a new perspective on Geddy's album.

Of course, that's not the only thing that helped me hear My Favorite Headache with new ears today. When I first heard it, I didn't think it was anything special. But since I listened to it last I've spent some time with Vapor Trails and Snakes and Arrows. If there's one thing that makes an unremarkable solo album sound pretty damn good, it's comparing it with the last couple Rush records.

Anyway, just thought I'd start a little fluff thread, if there are still any Rush fans about.

Rush is one of those bands whose music and roots seem to go deeper and wider the more you look at them. I haven't much of an ear for music, but I pay attention to lyrics, and I feel like I'm still just getting started on Rush.
