My 1 year anniversary is coming up on the 19th. We don't have any plans to go away anywhere. I was thinking of the following ideas:
Pancakes in the morning. Picnic on the beach. Having a plane fly a banner on the beach for us. Leaving excerpts from our favorite songs lying around the house. Possible dinner at a nice italian restaurant.
Any other ideas without being to money-spendy?

While at the beach give your spouse a home made message in a bottle. Use a great quote or song lyrics or just a little note saying how wonderful they are or how much you love them. Write the message on some yellowing paper and crinkle it up or burn the edges to age it. The quote I love is: To the world, you are one person. To one person, you are the world.

I made my wife a framed copy of my wedding vows on our paper anniversary.
