I just finished watching Flash Forward on ABC and after a shaky start, I am intrigued. The premise is that for 2 minutes and 17 seconds, everyone in the world simultaneously blacks out. Come to find out, they all had visions of the future.
I also saw the first episode of Community on NBC and found it amusing, though it still has plenty of room to either impress or disappoint me.
I've tentatively decided to take a miss on the two TV shows I was watching last year -- Heroes and Dollhouse. That's not set in stone but Heroes has consistently disappointed me for many years now and Dollhouse just isn't tugging at me to go back and figure out what's going on.
What else, new or old, is good this year?

My must-watch shows are: Dexter, Glee, Greek, Dollhouse, and So You Think You Can Dance. My friends have also gotten me hooked on Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother so now I'm going back and watching them both from the beginning while catching the new episodes.
Flash Forward looked interesting so I might have my mom TiVO it so I can watch it while I house-sit next week. I don't have cable in my apartment which isn't a big deal since I work 60 hours a week anyway. I just don't have as much free time as I'd like so I'm not willing to invest what little time I have in shows that are still new. I'll give everything a few weeks and see what my friends and the critics like.

Have you seen "Epitaph One" for Dollhouse? The final unaired episode for last season. It may make you rethink whether you want to stick around. (It is easily my favorite episode).

Having just seen the premier of Dollhouse, I will say you should definitely stick with it. "Epitaph One" suddenly showed where the show was actually going, but "Vows" is where all the characters suddenly come alive as fascinating, three dimensional people.

Is Epitaph One available on hulu? I think the problem I had with that show was that it didn't feel like it was coming together. I became less convinced as time went on that there was a single, consistent vision for its future.

Epitaph one is not on hulu (for some reason it's only on the DVD, and is airing in the UK, but not here). You can usually find it on egavideo-may.
Also, it doesn't matter whether you watch the Season 2 premier before or after Epitaph one, because Epitaph One is a flash forward. And the premier IS available on hulu.

No one's mentioned Castle yet so I'll throw that out there. Nathan Fillion plays a murder mystery author who gets to go on homicide cases with an attractive detective.

I will be watching Castle, but it honestly is mostly because of a sizable amount of free time at my disposal. It's a good show, but for anyone with limited TV time there's a lot of better ones.

I'd say my list of priorities will be:
House, Dollhouse, Castle, The Daily Show, So You Think You Can Dance (low priority at least for audition episodes and difficulty finding it on youtube), watching Mysterious Cities of Gold on Hulu, and if I'm reaaally bored I may see if Mental is still going.

Well, Doctor Who specials goes unsaid, of course. But since it's not airing a regular season, I'm not counting it until the spring. I will also be finishing up Lost this spring.
Castle looked kind of far-fetched to me but then, mysteries have never really been my thing.

I haven't been too thrilled about the first two episodes of Fringe this season... But you can tell they're laying a lot of ground work for the remainder of the season. I remain optimistic.
I'm sad that Warehouse 13's season is over... Is that getting picked up next year?

Bones, Castle, NCIS, The Mentalist are the dramas we watch around here.
Then, for competition-type reality shows we like So You Think You Can Dance and Project Runway.
Other than that, we watch a lot of sports and play a lot of XBox.

I'm still harboring resentment for the person who gave me a list of the 2-3 episodes per season that were worth watching these last four seasons, because when I was done, I started watching the show again, and it was horrible. Again.

I only watch TV on Hulu and for me to get started on a new series, it either (a) has to be pretty dang good and intriguing right from the start (b) have Nathan Fillion in it. So, yeah, I'm definitely watching Castle. I wouldn't consider it a GREAT show, but it's pretty fun, not-too-heady entertainment. And, again, it has Nathan Fillion.
I did watch the premiere of "Flash Forward." To me it looks like they're trying to recreate Lost (heck, it's even got Penny in it), but I don't think it'll ever reach those heights. That said, the actors and dialogue was enough to my liking that I'll watch the next one. Have to see where the story goes.
And I agree with Raymond Arnold- you might want to reconsider dropping Dollhouse. I, sadly, have not seen Epitaph One as it's only on DVD but I loved the Season 2 premier and it looks to me like this show's just gonna keeping get deeper and twistier.
Other than those shows (well, I'm thinking about giving "The Forgotten," with Christian Slater a try) I think I'll just sit back and wait for Burn Notice, Lost, and Chuck to return.

I think it's already surpassed Lost, and that's after just one episode.

I don't know that it surpassed Lost already but it's definitely on par. The acting and suspense is about what Lost originally was before it started to drag, and the show's inherent time-quake structure suggests they have a decent plan of where it's heading.

I knew the station was trying to come up with a follow-up to Lost when I watched "Flash Forward" and that's half the reason I watched the premiere. I'm still very into Lost, despite the fact that it dragged back in season 2. (Here and there in a few other seasons, but never quite like season 2.) I don't know how the two shows will measure up against one another and I'm sure that will largely be a matter of personal taste, but it's definitely my type of show and I have room in my heart for more than one. I hadn't watched any new TV other than Flash Forward yet this year, so last night I went to get caught up on a few things. I watched the premiere of NCIS, which was quite excellent. I'm glad they didn't do any huge touchy feely revelation with Tony on drugs and having to tell the truth to Ziva. The fallout should be interesting now. I was happy when Tony made the True Lies reference, as I was thinking of it all through the episode.
I also got caught up on the last few episodes of Glee. I have to say, I like it. You know I actually used to like about 35% of High School Musical (the singing part..well some of the singing parts). I fast forwarded through every part of the show where they weren't singing in HSM, because it was just boring, which I guess isn't shocking given the age group it's geared towards.
But Glee has good music, really good music, a lot of which I didn't think would come across good either coming from high schoolers or sung in a chorus, but it's really good. And the plot outside of the singing is good too. I'm glad they've shifted away from presenting all the songs as glee numbers and instead have presented songs as a sort of musical internal monologue. Those songs aren't interactive, like traditional musicals where actually plot movement and conversations happen in them, but they're still great. It's really funny, has some interesting plot lines, and actually deals with some pretty big issues in a very high quality way. The acting is great too.
I really hope it doesn't flop after a strong start. I'm sick of shows that have a great hook, then fade and die down the stretch.
I don't think I plan to watch any other shows than Stargate Universe, which starts this Friday.

Dexter and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia are my must watches.
The first two nights of Sunny were great. I was watching it with my brothers and we were all laughing our asses off last thursday.
Castle makes me laugh enough of the time to keep me watching it.

House, Heroes, The Office, Parks & Recreation, and Bill Maher are the only shows set up to record at the moment (that I watch anyway). I'm sure I'll catch The Daily Show and Colbert at least a couple of times a week. I'm not really attached to any of the reality shows like So You Think You Can Dance, but if I see it on I may watch.
Mostly been watching Freaks and Geeks and Dr. Katz on dvd lately.
