I need to take a break from hatrack for a while. This has nothing to do with anything that has happened here. I've got several real life projects that need my attention and Hatrack is too much of a distraction. I just thought I'd let you know, if you don't see me its not because I've been offended or don't like it here any more. If I haven't responded to you, its not because I'm not longer interested or think you are a dolt. I just need to focus my attentions elsewhere for a while.
I'll probably still pop in to see what's happening now and then and will very likely return to active participation after a few months. I'm posting this mostly to cement my own resolve to resist my hat-crack addiction for a while. I'm hoping that after posting this it will be too embarasing to post for a while.

I did the same thing on another site. I posted that I wouldn't post for 30 days, just because I felt like that was the only way I'd actually live up to the commitment. I did live up to it, but it was a mere blip in my forum distraction addiction.
