So I've been going back and forth with a designer for a blog I have, and the versions are getting better, but there is still something a bit off. I can't quite articulate it. For me, I invested a lot of money into this, and want it to be a really good job, so am asking for thoughts from you guys who seem to be better at this than I.
Just an issue of definition, I think, but not sure how to put it. Here's Version 4

These look pretty much like the old ones. In another thread you posted a link to a blog that I assumed was a new direction you went in, which I thought was much better.

I liked the light-warm color integrated throughout version 4. Version 5 is all blue until the bottom. And I liked the square corners on content and the separation of the categories links by not being in a box-within-a-box from version 4. Version 5 looks too homogenized throughout I think.

I prefer Version 4, but you should know that my reaction to it is "Oh, someone's blog."
