This is driving me crazy. I've been through my many thousand song itunes library multiple times and gone through my pandora playlists. I can't find this song. All I have is the guitar riff (which unfortunately I'm not sure how to search for it with or share it) and a vague sense of what one of the lyrics is.
The rhythm of the riff is as follows: duh - na na na na duh na na na na duh - na na na na duh - na na - na - na - na The lyric is along the lines of: please don't take my time don't take myyyy time...
or maybe... please don't waste my time
or... please don't pass me by
or... please don't break my mind
None of these are right, as I've searched for all of them and can't find it. But they all sorta fit into the riff and sound vaguely right. The riff is slightly distorted guitar and the singing is multiple harmonies (close harmonies) and sort of quiet and muted.
I can't for the life of me figure out what this song is, but I know it's a well known one. I want to say it's from the 70s or 80s. This is driving me mad. If anyone has any idea what song it might be, please help!

Thanks Mel, that site found it for me. Wow, what a relief that was. When I heard the riff at the beginning that matched finally I had cold shivers... borderline.. well, I'm sure you've been there before Thanks guys!
Correct lyric: Give me a word - give me a sign Show me where to look - tell me what will I find? (What will I find?)
Which I swear I searched for multiple parts of that, but didn't turn this up. Oh well. I found it now. I'll have to remember that site!
