Hey, don't you love that part in "Serenity" where Leela gets all mad at Dr. Cox but then they realize they love each other, actually? It's almost as good as the scene in season 4 of "Blade Runner" (one of the Star Wars TV shows) where Worf saves the world by making a passionate speech about the inalienable rights of man. That Patrick Stewart delivers a monologue like none other.

That reminds me of that time on The Partridge Family where Greg had this date with Rhoda, but they were interrupted when Sigfried and his buddy the bartender Isaac were causing trouble, but Sgt O'Rourke and little Tabatha did their thing and it all worked out so that Bruce Banner was saved and everything.

I prefer the one involving a comic misunderstanding.

My favorite was the Lord of the Rings movie where Harry goes through that wardrobe and ends up on a planet where all the kids go out into their front yards at the same time to bounce a ball but it turns out that Cate Blanchett, despite being the daughter of a famous rock star in real life, is really his twin sister so it's a good thing his crush on her was unrequited.

Remember that drama where people were faced with horrible choices?

Remember the sports movie where in the end they won?

Remember that show where they had a poker scene, and nobody folded by using the phrase, "Too rich for my blood"?

Well, maybe there will be one someday. A guy can dream.

Remember that one chess scene where, when the guy checkmated his opponent, he so rudely knocked over the king?

Here's one for the anime fans. Remember that one series with the really gentle nice guy who kept accidentally getting into awkward situations where he would end up seeing the females naked, and they always clobbered him and called him a pervert even though it was never his fault?

Verily: you didn't see the thread title, clearly.

Oh, like I'm the only one doing the generalizing thing. Single me out, why don't you?

Remember that one Star Trek episode where they invented a revolutionary new technology to solve the problem, and yet we never saw it again?

Posted by Dogbreath (Member # 11879) on :

Yes, actually...

And then there's the Hiatus episode where their cover is blown but due to quick thinking and some excellent fighting moves they manage to escape unscathed.
