I knew it, the republicans are actually Sleestak. But this whole Laura thing doesnt surprise me, its not as if politicians personal lives have ever reflected thier careers anyway.

I actually remember an interview when W was president where she stated she did not think Roe vs. Wade should be overturned. I'm confused as to how that part of it is news.

She was a registered Democrat before she got married. None of it is too terribly surprising.

I had heard about her views on abortion before- I think in light of some advisor or reporter commenting on them, and GW becoming quite irate at having her/them brought up in that context.
The view on gay marriage is news to me.
I've generally gotten the impression that she's a fairly decent person. It's kind of hard to really dislike a librarian.
