I always moaned and groaned my way thought most of his comedies, but I always watched them, most of them over and over again.

I'll miss him. I laughed at his movies like crazy as a teenager, as an adult those same movies fell flat, but I appreciate his work.

I am sure he would have appreciated that joke as well.

No, Kwea, you should have said--"Surely he would have appreciated that joke as well."
And his ghost would have replied, "Yes I did, and quit calling me Shirley."
He was a good serious actor as well.

Looking at his IMDB page... he was in a boatload of TV shows in the 60s and 70s: There's just too many to list here.
Remember he also sank the Poseidon, killed a few people in Creepshow, and won the girl in Forbidden Planet.
He will be missed.

I loved him in all of his roles but Forbidden Planet and Airplane are my favorites. He was the best "straight man" comedy has ever seen.

I remember watching Naked Gun as a kid over and over with my friends. Good times.
