I'm a fantasy reader. Not into Sci-fi. I loved "The Lost Gate!" I got it in audio format narrated by Stefan Rudnicki (and a gal who I think last name was Orson). But it's to-be-continued. When is the next Mithermages book coming?
I see he has written other works since "The Lost Gate." Did he give up on this series?

Where did you get info that OSC has written stuff since The Lost Gate? That book only came out a couple months ago, right after Pathfinder, the first in the Orson Scott Card's other new fantasy series.
I think I read somewhere that he has some kind of contract to write approximately one Serpent World and one Mithermages book per year until each is a trilogy. I have no idea how binding that is or whether he has a precedent for keeping strictly to that kind of deadline, but it's something to go on.

I read a mistype that "The Lost Gate" is a 2008 release.
I feel much better now you said there are future plans. There is "Hamlet's Father" by Orson Scott Card (Apr. 29, 2011) that vies for his attention. I don't often get attracted to a novel series "in the making." It makes me jealously possessive.

Nope....Lost Gate is his most recent book IIRC, and it is a very good one. Pathfinder came out right before it, and it has been good too. I only have a few chapters to read to finish it.
