I dunno, I'm watching a random episode on the comedy network since its convenient but I'm not seeing it as nessasarily being compelling a friend described it as basically a funnier Jay Leno and I'm sorta seeing it as a midpoint between Colbert amd Jon Stewart and is a bit funny but I can't figure out if I'm laughing because its funny or if its because its sad.

So I'm reading "The Inheritance of Rome" that OSC recommended the other day; it mentions some early saints or stylites who were apparently used by the local population as a sort of Dear Abby service, and the questions and answers were recorded. One of the questions was "I can't make up my mind, what should I do?" The answer, and you can feel the exasperation over a gap of fifteen hundred years and multiple translations, was "Pray to God, and ask us again".

Perhaps you should limit yourself to media where it is abundantly clear to you why you feel the way you do about it.

Gah I have that trilogy, but it's buried behind The Lost Gate, Pathfinder, The Beyonders, Colonel Roosevelt. I need to adjust how I spend my leisure time when I've got some. It's time to burn through a few books.
