ViHart is a youtube personality who makes videos about art and math. Her stuff is about on the order of how awesome XKCD tends to be. I think. I might be biased in favor of something shiny and new, but anyways it's pretty frickin' awesome and you should watch it right now. (I posted it in the youtube thread but with rivka's encouragement decided she really deserved her own)
She has more but those are the best ones I've seen so far and I'm sure you can find more if you try hard.

Wind and Mr. Ug was cool. I love mobius strips. It can lead into some fascinating, multi dimensional shapes.

(BTW Rivka, I haven't been able to tell from your comments if this was someone you've known about and had just never mentioned on hatrack yet, or if you were just as amazed as I was that you hadn't heard of her yet)

(I did know about her. But I thought about it, and she must have made the Sakeriver links thread, not this one. Hadn't seen the last few weeks' stuff from her though.)

quote:she must have made the Sakeriver links thread
By this, you mean "she was good enough that she 'made it into' the Sakeriver thread", or you mean that she literally is on Sakeriver making threads?"

Hah! The former.

In other news, I just converted to Tauism.

She did one about why Pi is (still) wrong.
