I've dropped in a couple times over the past couple years but haven't stayed long. As mentioned in another thread, I did get divorced. 11 years down the drain. I got full custody of the kids. She's regretting that now, but there's nothing I can really do about it. She moved back to our hometown which is 700 miles away. There's no way to do a viable joint custody agreement with that.

I now live in Louisville, KY, but we may need to move to Iowa for another job.

I started re-reading the EG series again and that made me think of this site. I just wanted to drop in and say hi to old friends. I see rivka is still active. Some other names seem familiar. I'm so terrible with names anyway. Sorry.

Anyway. I'm here again. It's nice to see not a lot has changed, here at least.

Jack

Hi Jack, I don't remember you to be honest, bad with names too, and maybe you posted in another period than I did. Just in case, HI!! [Big Grin]

Welcome back. Remember our last conversation? You were going on about how negative this place had been getting? I was going on about how I was always a newb with a different name (I was Herblay back then)?

Good news is that this place is a lot more positive now. Heck, I've even agreed with Orincoro a few times. Bad news is that it's a bit quieter.

Yeah, that's what drove me away. It seemed this place was less "sitting in OSC's living room talking" and more cut throat.

I'm glad it's better but it does seem a bit quiter. Maybe that's a good thing.

You got your kids out of that, so I wouldn't say it was all for nothing.

I agree completely.

I seem to remember being around when you still posted more regularly; your username looks familiar. But I don't recall if we interacted much.

Regardless. Hello. [Smile]

Glad to see you back around and glad you seem to be, despite everything, in a fairly good place. That sort of situation is never easy.

Thanks all. I did miss the group. It's a nice place to drop in every now and then.

I'm glad to hear you're liking life better. I don't drop in here as much as I used to either, but it's still a good read sometimes!

Cay, right now I'm working in Dubuque, but they're talking of moving me to the Quad Cities.

I remember you Jack. However, I think you got cut the last time I cleaned out my Yahoo IM list [Frown] Sorry'bout that. Last I heard you were down Tulsa way.

Sounds like there has been lots of water under the bridge since then. Glad you have the kids and are doing okay. Still doing the robotics stuff?

Hey Farmie,

No, I had to turn that over to someone else when I relocated to Louisville. My last year there, we had 99 teams. Huge jump from six teams four years before.

Hope all is well.
