So I haven't been here much lately. But over the last year I've had a diagnosis of cervical stenosis, and I've been working on getting opinions, and finding a doctor that I wanted to do the surgery that everyone agrees I needed to have.
There are a lot of details that I haven't got the strength to type here, but the short of it is that I had the surgery on Dec 31, and now my left arm is partially paralyzed. This leaves me with a lot of "what if"s. Most notably, what if I hadn't had the surgery at all? I didn't actually have symptoms in my left arm before the surgery, all the symptoms were in my right arm. And all those symptoms seem to be relieved. It appears that the doctor just "tweaked" the nerve in my left arm, and the rest is history.

That sounds extremely difficult. I'm sorry you are going through it. I hope you are able to find some way to remedy the unintended side effects.

I wish I had the expertise to advise you, unfortunately I can only offer you my sympathies. Losing partial or full use of one of both of my hands is one of my greatest fears.

Have you discussed the symptoms with the surgeon? Some such issues can be transient.
