I hope everyone gets to be all kinds of happy today. Whether it be cuddling, playing with happy healthy kids, taking mans best friend on a extra long walk through the park, enjoying a good meal and watching Firefly (again) or something Neil Gaiman once described as "special hugs." My wife and I acted like old people and went to sleep at around 9:00pm. I can't even remember the last time I have gone to bed (outside of being jetlagged) that early.
I wish I could pretend it was because we had epic sex and tired each other out, but no, it's probably more to do with us depriving ourselves of sleep for the past few weeks trying to be workers, parents, students, and spouses, all at the same time.

if you can just go to sleep on v-day without any need for pomp and circumstance, wake up the next day, fistbump, and go right back to the fields of battle, that's a better sign than all the lovey-dovey in the world.
