I am creating a powerpoint to use as a halloween party trivia game and am really struggling to find good general knowledge halloween trivia. The game will be set up similar to hollywood game night (at least that was my inspiration).

I have 5 rounds
1 - General Halloween trivia: Multiple choice and hope to be set up for the non-fanatical movie watching segment of my party.
2 - Hometown Horrors: which is matching famous movie villians with the towns they tormented.
3 - Art Attack: I teach and the art teacher is helping me by having kids recreate famous movie scenes in class. You will have to identify the movie from the artwork.
4 - In so Many Words: teams buzz in and bid on how few words they can use to get their teams to guess the movie title.
5 - Chrono Crunch: 6 movie posters are shown. Teams have 60 seconds to put them in chronological order.

So my request... need good questions for part 1. things that coworkers could answer, even if they havent watched hours and hours of horror movies. I'm actually in good shape for all the rest. Have much of the work done or on its way to done, but this part is being difficult. I think I am a little burnt out and my google skills are failing me.

My payment: I will send a finalized copy of the powerpoint to any one who posts questions that I end up using. I'd probably even send it to people who's questions I didnt use. Heck, I'd really probably send it to anyone that wanted it, but it would be cool if you at least tried to help me. [Smile]

What Catholic holiday is the day after Halloween?

What is a soul cake?

Samhain is one of four Gaelic seasonal festivals. Can you name another one?

On Samhain, the Irish king Tighearnmhas was said to have annually sacrificed a small child by beating its brains out against the stone statue of which god?

Before pumpkins became traditional, potatoes were carved into Jack o'Lanterns. But what vegetable was used long before the potato?

Can you name three traditional ways, according to British witch-hunters, to identify a witch who has pledged her soul to Satan?

It's when you mix it with flour, sugar, salt, and vanilla and then bake it at 350 for 40 minutes.

Pumpkins. The Irish were unique in their love of potatoes.

She's a witch!

You know, I think that should be All Saints' Day.
That could make for a good trick question though.

You are right. All Saint's Day is Nov. 1, followed by All Soul's Day on Nov. 2.

Martin Luther posted the 95 Theses.

Martin Luther King Jr. was named after Martin Luther, but lived 400 years after his namesake.

If I missed the tongue-in-cheek, I'll blame it on the Internet. [Smile]

Well, according to the infallible folk at Wikipedia:

"Born Michael King, his father changed his name in honor of German reformer Martin Luther."

That's where I got that from.

Martin Luther King, Sr. changed his own name from Michael King, Sr. at the same time he changed his son's name. Also from Wikipedia.

"By 1934, King had become a widely respected leader of the local church. That year, he also changed his name (and that of his young son) from Michael King to Martin Luther King after becoming inspired during a trip to Germany by the life of Martin Luther (1483–1546), the German theologian who initiated the Protestant Reformation (though he never changed his name legally)."
