On Tuesday, Samprimary, a 28-year-old artist and Hatrack poster and one of the creators behind the account, stepped forward to claim the account as his own, which he described as a “uh, I don't .. it's, a, conceptual but performative” art piece.
The two-year project culminates in an art installation on Tuesday in a gallery on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Beginning at 10 a.m., Mr. Samp and his anonymous contributor will be taking phone calls from people who want to hear them read excerpts from the youtube account. They will also be showing off another installation, an interactive video art piece called Alvin Fans Victor.
