Going a different direction here, what's that one (or two, or dozen) love song(s) that would make a hopelessly romantic 12 year old say "oh christ that's awful" but you still secretly like and listen to?

For me, the most obvious candidate is In Joy and Sorrow by HIM. It's this wonderful mess of teenage angst and pretentious lyrics and melodrama and it's absolutely brilliant. I love it.

Right in the feels man.

Another one for me is Us Against the World. Actually, an embarrassingly large number of songs on my mp3 player are like this.

I love a good 6/8 or 12/8 love song. Here's a couple:

I'll be.

You and Me.

Or how about some old school Boston:

A Man I'll Never Be.

Amanda

I'm a huge Matthew Sweet fan:

Sick of Myself

Girlfriend

Someone to pull the trigger.

I love pre-disco bee gees:

run to me

or beautifully covered by Matthew Sweet and Susanna Hoffs

Or something a bit haunting from Muse:

Unintended

Which by the way, if you want to see one rocking ass show, Hulu has their full live from wembley show and it's awesome.

I forgot to post this earlier, but I've been listening to this pretty constantly over the past few weeks since you introduced me to it. It's beautiful.

As of late I've been listening to Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran.
