I think they're trying to sell me something, but this post is so difficult to parse, that I am not even sure what they're talking about.

Surely it can't be a good way to attract customers if the post is using words that I have to look up in a dictionary (adumbration). And I actually like looking up words in a dictionary.

Admittedly, I kinda like the alliteration; aggressive arduous adolescent associates. But even when replacing these words with synonyms, I still don't have clue as to their meaning within the context of this post.

This is not effective marketing. Maybe if the target demographic has the mindset "see hyperlink, must click it"... But I would be dumbfounded to find that any regular visitor to this forum fits into that description.

Anyway... I am pretty sure that virtually nobody will read this post, so I have decided to cut short this rant and return you now to your regularly scheduled programming.

Francis Bacon made several speeches; what is the most unarguable speech he ever gave to Parliament? I like Francis Bacon.

If you like France's bacon, you should try it dipped in chocolate.

This isn't an attempt to sell things, although I'm sadly sure that there are people out there that actually click through and buy things through these messages. It's an attempt to raise the site's search engine profile. Search engines take into account how many other sites link to a site when ranking it.

The gibberish message is to try to fool the algorithms that modern forums use to catch these attempts, not to fool anyone reading it.

The followup messages are to avoid having single post threads that are often automatically pruned after a bit.

Thanks for the explanation. Fortunately I was not even remotely tempted to click on the link.

Why would you click on a sausage link?
