I agree! Most of the time. Especially when comparing us to other mammals. The lack of fur (not just hair ) makes us look so similar to those Egyptian bald cats, or the naked mole rats so frequently ridiculed by humans. [Big Grin]

And then there are times when I am awed by how beautiful some humans are. One of our university lecturers (teaching urology) was captivatingly handsome. Then there was this young gynecologist from India, who was incredibly beautiful and also surprisingly kind. And very recently I met this oral surgeon, and gosh, she is striking - and our MTA is very pretty too.

And then again, there are those times when I will be in the OR and marveling at how fascinating and, yes, beautiful the human body is on the inside... But that's another tale for another time. [Big Grin]

Human beings are great.

We've got the big brains, the opposable thumbs, the best long running capability of any animal. We're also the only animal to be able to throw an object with speed, power, and accuracy.

We're the complete package. [Wink]

Yes, humanity has its glory... but are we beautiful?

I believe we are luminous beings, not merely these puny meat bags. However, I feel that the form we embody has its own energy and frequency. While beauty is in the eye of beholder, I think that the human body has an inherent grace, and some individuals embody that sleekness, that je ne sais quoi.

This time we have in physical form is precious. With our hands and our brains and our words we sculpt the world around us and that empowerment is beautiful too.
