'I was crushed to not see Orson Scott Card's 'The Tales of Alvin Maker' series on the list. An avid reader my whole life, it is, for me, the most inspiring, uplifting, and hopeful story I've ever read, (first at 36, and have continued to read the series every few years since-- 65 now). It instantly captures one's heart, soul, and intellect. Alvin is a 'Maker' in the making... and his story, his journey, serves to remind us that we're ALL 'Makers' in the making.' #GreatReadPBS [The Wave]
